Samuel Martinelli is a musician, producer, and educator based in New York City. He has shared the stage with Grammy nominated and Latin Grammy winners artists, and performed in major venues such Carnegie Hall in NYC, LeFrak Hall, jazz clubs and festivals in US.

​

With a Master Degree in Jazz Studies from City University of New York - Queens College, he was the drummer for the multi Grammy-nominated trumpet player Claudio Roditi group for about three years, and recorded his own album as a leader featuring the master trumpet player.

 

Samuel is a teaching artist at New Jersey Performing Arts Centers, one of the most important arts and education institutions in US, and has given workshops and masterclasses about jazz and Brazilian music at universities and other educational institutions, besides working at private music schools around NYC.
